Warren Police reported another car theft, and received reports of more cars being broken into with belongings stolen, between July 10-17, 2023.

Monday, July 10

Stolen cases of alcohol were reported on Commercial Way at 9:32 a.m.

A caller reported that a vendor on Main Street stole their son’s tobacco product at 2:40 p.m.

RIDOT was notified of a crosswalk button malfunctioning on Child Street at 3:40 p.m.

A man was reportedly soliciting while riding a Segway on Fatima Drive at 9:02 p.m. He was gone when police showed up.

Tuesday, July 11

Police spoke to operators of electric scooters on the bike path near Haile Street at 1:39 a.m.

Another tip regarding a Segway driving solicitor came in, this time from Barden Lane at 10:20 p.m. The person said they had visited three days in a row, but once again the solicitor was gone when police arrived.

Juan Castro Perez, 56, of 67 Elmdale Ave., Providence, was arrested on Market Street following a motor vehicle stop at 11:59 p.m. He was charged with DUI of liquor (BAC unknown, first offense), and refusal to submit to a breathalyzer. He was arraigned and released early the following morning.

Wednesday, July 12

A woman on Main Street reported her social security number had been stolen at 2:29 p.m.

Bristol County Water was notified at 4:09 p.m. following an incident where a tow truck reportedly hit a fire hydrant on Cole Street.

Police spoke to an unlicensed solicitor on Rockland Road who made one resident uncomfortable around 8:19 p.m. after going to their back porch and knocking on doors and windows after they refused to answer the front door.

A 15-year-old and a 16-year-old juvenile were arrested following an incident on Stuart Street involving an alleged assault on another juvenile. They were both charged with one count of disorderly conduct and trespassed from the address.

Anthony J. Walden, 29, no address listed, was arrested following an incident on Canario Drive at 9:47 p.m. after they allegedly threatened a family member with a knife. He was charged with three counts of domestic violence (felony assault and/or battery, breaking/entering a dwelling of a person aged 60+, first offense, and disorderly conduct, first offense). He was arraigned and transported to court the following morning.

Thursday, July 13

Pawtucket Police informed Warren PD at 3:55 a.m. that they had a vehicle stopped in their city with stolen plates from a vehicle that was stolen in Warren several nights prior.

Kelly Cabral, 37, of 11A Evergreen Dr. Apt. #1, East Providence, was arrested on Main Street at 8:09 a.m. She was charged with three counts of shoplifting, and was later transported to court.

A caller on Main Street reported their was a group of juveniles throwing water balloons at cars around 1:25 p.m.

Friday, July 14

Solicitors were reported on Taddy Avenue at 2:00 p.m. but no one was found in the area.

Saturday, July 15

A Water Street resident reported at 5:58 a.m. that a backpack was stolen from a vehicle the previous night.

A caller on Metacom Avenue reported at 6:36 a.m. that several vehicles in the neighborhood had been rummaged through.

A School Street resident reported at 9:17 a.m. that their vehicle had been tampered with.

A report of a stolen vehicle was logged from South Cornell Avenue at 10:26 a.m.

A Water Street resident reported at 10:57 a.m. that their vehicle had been rummaged through, and credit cards were taken. Another resident of Water Street reported the same at 2:17 p.m.

A Metacom Avenue resident reported at 2:35 p.m. that their vehicle had been rummaged through, and money was taken.

Sunday, July 16

Police broke up a group of people who were fishing in the area of Crescent Street at 3:13 a.m.

The animal control officer was informed after a resident was concerned about a raccoon found in a dumpster on Metacom Avenue at 5:31 p.m.
