Repertory Series performances: Shifting Light - March 22nd and 23rd

Newport Contemporary Ballet’s spring repertory performance Shifting Light, includes a strikingly diverse program with work ranging from, beautiful, neo-classical ballet, to powerful contemporary dance. Shifting Light includes four world premiere works by choreographers Kristopher Estes-Brown, Caroline Dahm, Janice Rosario, and NCB’s Artistic Director, Danielle Genest.

Shifting Light will also include continued participation in the national Arpino Centennial Celebration to honor the 100th birthday of Gerald Arpino, Co-founder of the Joffrey Ballet and one of the 20th century’s most influential artists. NCB will again perform the pas de deux from Light Rain.

WHEN: Friday, March 22, and Saturday, March 23, at 7:30 p.m.

WHERE:The Keats Theatre at St Andrews School, 63 Federal Road Barrington

Returning by popular demand, Are The Crayons Quitting? – based on bestselling author Drew Daywalt’s book, The Day The Crayons Quit!  This original adaptation includes Rhode Island artists, composers, and designers who collaborated with Artistic Director Danielle Genest to bring this charming, hilarious, and relevant book to life. It’s a unique, funny, and heartwarming performance for all ages!
 
WHEN: Fri, March 22 and Sat, March 23 at 4:30pm and Sun, March 24 at 2pm
