Tiverton candidates invited to 'paper signing event'

Posted

Tiverton candidates have been invited to participate on Sunday, July 5, in a nomination paper signing event to be held at Sandywoods Center for the Arts, 43 Muse Way, from 12:30 – 2:30 pm on Sunday, July 5.

The event is offered together by the Democratic (Mike Burk, chairman) and Republican (Bobbi Jo Harris) town committees.

At this  “walk-through” event, "We will be practicing all social distancing guidelines, including requiring the wearing of masks, limiting the numbers of individuals staffing signing tables and limiting the number of individuals in the room at any given time," Mr. Burk said.

Candidates may take part by either providing a copy (copies) of their nomination papers to get signed that day or by attending in person as a candidate – "but, again, know that we will have to restrict the number of candidates at the actual signing tables to ensure safe distancing."

There is a registration form we ask for you to complete to give us a sense of what we need to set up that day.  It can be found at https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=DQSIkWdsW0yxEjajBLZtrQAAAAAAAAAAAAd__oFpDktUNURSR0U4Q0VZRFNKTExaRFk3OFBQNlpSWi4u
