The Rhode Island Department of Health on Wednesday afternoon recommended that beach lovers refrain from swimming at Grinnell’s  and Fogland beaches in Tiverton, due to high bacteria counts.

RIDOH will continue to monitor and review beach water quality through Labor Day. The status of a beach closure may change as new data become available. For up-to-date beach closure information, call  RIDOH at 222-2751.
