PORTSMOUTH — A 65-year-old Portsmouth woman was arrested Thursday, June 24, and charged with domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct.

The arrest took place after officers responded to the home of Lizbeth S. O’Donnell, of 75 Kirduglyn Road, to investigate a report of a domestic disturbance.

After they arrived, officers established enough probably cause to take Ms. O’Donnell into custody, police said.

She was transported to Newport Hospital for an evaluation, was arraigned there by a justice of the peace, then released to the hospital.

The victim was a 65-year-old man from Portsmouth, according to police.
