PORTSMOUTH — A 33-year-old Middletown man was arrested Monday, Aug. 14, and charged with violating a no-contact order, police said.

The arrest of Michael D. Vierra, of 17A Woolsey Road, took place due to a 24-hour domestic pickup from a previous incident that had occurred on Sunday, Aug. 13, according to police.

During the course of that investigation, it was determined that Vierra had violated a no-contact order that had been issued based on a previous domestic charge, police said, adding that he was out on bail from the previous arrest.

The victim was a 32-year-old Newport woman, police said.

Here are some more recent highlights from the Portsmouth Police report:

Thursday, Aug. 10

Brandon M. Togbay, 20, of 20 Linda Ave., was arrested at about 7:10 p.m. at Dollar General on East Main Road on a 2nd District Court bench warrant, place said. While conducting property checks, officers with previous knowledge of the warrant found Togbay’s motorcycle parked outside the business, police said. He was held at the police station pending his arraignment, police said.

Saturday, Aug. 12

Sandra Irene DeLoura, 68, of 33 North Drive, was charged with driving under the influence, first offense, at about 8:15 p.m. Officers had responded to a report of a vehicle that had struck an object, left and scene and nearly hit a pedestrian, according to police. They located the vehicle in a nearby neighborhood and arrested DeLoura at her home, police said.
