'A Day in the Life of a Whaler"'

This Tuesday, Jan. 23, Nancy Gentile and Capt. Michael Taylor, docents at the New Bedford Whaling Museum, will describe a day in the life of a whaling voyage. Their lecture will include recounts of crews, vessels, geography, and products, along with details of the business in New Bedford and Nantucket, arctic whaling, 20th-century whaling, and the lives of sister sailors/whaling wives. There will even be a baleen and harpoon demonstration!

WHEN: Jan. 23, at 6:30 p.m.

WHERE: Tiverton Public Library, 34 Roosevelt Ave.
