Construction of the new Barrington Middle School is 90 percent complete, according to information shared at a recent Barrington School Committee meeting.

The school building committee reported the progress of the construction project. School committee members followed that news with a discussion about various topics involving the new middle school, including the coordination of the move to the new building.

Officials also spoke about the scheduled demolition of the old middle school building. At an upcoming building committee meeting, officials will discuss whether to use sod grass or seed on the new middle school athletic fields.

There are also plans to open the new school for public tours.
