Looff Carousel to open in East Providence as scheduled despite management change

EAST PROVIDENCE — The Looff Carousel on the Crescent Park grounds in city will be in operation as scheduled this weekend despite a recent change in management of the historic structure.

City officials confirmed the Carousel's traditional season-opening event on Easter Sunday, this year being April 20, remains a go. The Carousel ride will be running from noon to 6 p.m. Ride tickets are $1 apiece. Light refreshments will be offered for sale.

Any info available for the Saturday night car cruise ? And what's going to happen when the new train ride is put in that area ?
