Little Theatre of Fall River is proud to present the multi-award-winning musical, Oliver! written by Lionel Bart, which opens on Thursday, May 16 and runs thru Sunday, May 19 at Bristol Community College. The story paints a picture of London in the 1800s: a city filled with inequity and injustice. According to director, Roberto Soares, “The challenge was to make Oliver! into something new, something different….This is not your typical Oliver!, and I’ll let the audience decide whether or not I have succeeded in giving it a new jolt of energy!”

WHEN: May 16-19; Thursday-Saturday at 7:30 p.m.; Sunday at 2 p.m.

Meet our staff
Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
