PORTSMOUTH — The Portsmouth High boys’ varsity hockey team got off to a great start in its Division II semifinal series against Lincoln, but hit a bump on the ice on Sunday.

In game one at the Rhode Island Sports Center Saturday night, the Patriots rolled over the Lions with a 5-0 shutout.

Sunday at the Abbey rink, however, Lincoln tied the series with a 3-0 shutout of its own.

The deciding game will be played Tuesday, March 1, with a 6 p.m. puck drop at the Rhode Island Sports Center, 1186 Eddie Dowling Highway (Route 146), North Smithfield.

The winner of that game will play either North Kingstown or Rogers in the D-2 championship series beginning Saturday, March 5, at Schneider Arena in Providence.
