Letter: Is town council hard of herring or being shellfish?

I cannot fathom the town council's recent decision to flood the beach parking lot with non residents streaming in from surrounding communities just to make a sand dollar or two. You don't have to be a brain sturgeon to know that it's no fluke Trendy's at the beach is floundering. They can hardly keep their head above water. It's either sink or swim.

Non-resident parking is supposed to raise revenue but we're not taking the bait and swallowing that hook, line, and sinker. On smeltering days finding a parking space will be a reel haddock. Cars are packed in like sardines, I won't be able to park my stingray.  The beach will become a real dive. Someone should call the carps. I feel so kelpless.

The town council is being very shellfish. Are they hard of herring or do they just have no sole. Don't they see the anchor in our eyes? Barrington Beach kicks bass. We have a whale of a time there. Families love it especially the little squids.
