Black Lives Matter. Got it. All black lives matter. Right? Obviously. Xavier Usanga (age 7,) Kennedi Powell (age 3),  Nyla Banks (age 10) or Jurnee Thompson (age 8) were all shot and killed along with nine other youth in their St. Louis, MO neighborhoods since April 2021. (Read the story “Why are so many black children being shot dead in one US city?” at The Guardian.com). Not one of them died at the hands of the police, white or otherwise! The sad yet true story is that black on black homicide occurs in far greater numbers than anything BLM could conjure up about cops. It stands at about 93 percent. And is it any surprise that BLM’s manufactured problems with the police occur entirely in Democrat controlled cities?

I have yet to see a chapter of BLM.org start a soup kitchen to feed the poor, provide shelter for the homeless or after school tutoring to help educate black youth or make common cause with folks in the aforementioned Missouri neighborhood to stop gun violence there.

The nostrum of BLM and its progressive supporters suggests that white cops awaken each morning seeking to hunt down blacks. This is not only preposterous, it’s dangerous and it needs to stop. Derek Chauvin aside, the thin blue line is the singular bulwark that maintains peace and order in our neighborhoods. 

If you have any doubt whatsoever that you’ve made a mistake in supporting this anti-American group, perhaps you should consider this quote from the NY BLM.org Chair, Mr. Hank Newsome (June 2020) "if this country doesn't give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it. All right? And I could be speaking ... figuratively. I could be speaking literally. It's a matter of interpretation.” 

Since you all jumped on the BLM bandwagon early on, allow me to provide an off-ramp. First, apologize to our veterans, our police and town residents who don’t support this charade. Next, make an oath to never again fly the divisive BLM flag on public property. Finally, fly the back the blue flag for at least one month to show your support for the town police and openly declare that you don’t support the Defund the Police movement!

If this is an organization that you still desire to follow and support, then please provide the rationale to the rest of us who consider it sheer lunacy.
