Letter: Become a Friend of the library now

To the editor:

The Friends of the Barrington Public Library held their annual meeting yesterday, celebrating their successful support of the library and especially library programs. The Barrington High School Jazz Band performed and knocked our socks off.

It is my hope that you will find an opportunity to share this joy. Become a member of the Friends and enjoy first-day access to the Fall Book Sale on Thursday, Nov. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m. You can sign up right there. The book sale will continue in the Collis Family Gallery Friday through Sunday, Nov. 4-6.

And go hear the Barrington High School Jazz Band, they have two December performances coming up. Hold on to your socks when you do!
