Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular is open all month in Providence

Take a trip around the world at this year’s Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular: Pumpkins Around the World, at Roger Williams Park in Providence. Thousands of artistically carved, illuminated pumpkins will magically transport visitors on a European vacation, wildlife safari, and a trip down Route 66. From the Pyramids of Giza to the Leaning Tower of Pisa, this nighttime family event will satisfy your case of wanderlust – no passports required!

The trail is open nightly from 6 to 10:30 p.m., with last entry at 10 p.m. The Spectacular is open rain or shine. NO REFUNDS OR RESCHEDULING. ALL event tickets must be purchased online in advance. This event does not include animal exhibits. All animal exhibits close at end of daytime Zoo hours.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
