In the spirit of Thanksgiving, comes a ‘Cranberry-Craze’ farmers’ market

The Tiverton Farmers Market adapts with the seasons, and this weekend it pivots with the approach of Thanksgiving. On Sunday, Nov. 19, Tiverton Middle School will be the site for the fourth annual Thanksgiving Cranberry-Craze Specialty Farmers Market, taking place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. in the cafeteria event space at 10  Quintal Drive in Tiverton.

The market brings together more than 45 local vendors offering a plethora of diverse treats and products. This weekend there will numerous cranberry-infused creations mixed among the fresh vegetables, seafood and meats, cheeses, baked goods, popcorn, mocktails and more. If anyone is looking to jump-start their holiday shopping there will also be gift sets, pottery, candles, alpaca clothing, paintings, and pet-friendly gifts and treats

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
