Bristol PD: Two arrests made within 15 minutes

Monday, Aug. 14
An Elmwood Drive resident reported that people were bringing items into a wooded area near the walking trail at 10:43 a.m.

The Brick Pizza Company on Wood Street requested a no trespass order at 6:18 p.m.

Police dispersed a group of men fishing on Griswold Avenue at 7:03 p.m.

Tuesday, Aug. 15
A person reported that a person was living in the front hallway of Franklin Self Storage on Franklin Street at 1:30 p.m.

Police received a report of three juveniles operating a golf cart on Brookwood Road at 5:04 p.m. but they didn’t locate them.

Wednesday, Aug. 16
Police received a report at 6:54 a.m. of an obscured object in a field off Gooding Avenue that was covered in a white sheet. Police spoke with someone at the scene who declined assistance, and was then dispersed from the area.

A Juniper Court resident report a contractor was inside their basement without permission at 8:22 a.m.

A dog bite was reported on Hope Street at 1:18 p.m.

A Rosedale Drive resident reported possible tampering with property located in a camper at 5:15 p.m.

Police looked for juveniles allegedly playing in the roadway of Bourne Street at 6:14 p.m. but found no one at the scene.

A window was reportedly vandalized (broken) on Loring Road at 6:34 p.m.

Jonalee Arruda, 49, of 45 Richmond St., Bristol, was arrested following an incident on Third Street at 11:23 p.m. She was charged with domestic violence (disorderly conduct, second offense). She was later arraigned and released.

Liam Boyle, 29, of 6 Murphy Ave., Bristol, was arrested following an incident on Murphy Street at 11:34 p.m. after they allegedly punched a vehicle headlight following a verbal argument. He was charged with domestic violence (vandalism, first offense), and was later arraigned and released.

Thursday, Aug. 17
Police dispersed two vehicles from Mt. Hope High School at 3:28 a.m.

A Bradford Street resident reported at 7:18 a.m. that their vehicle had been egged overnight.

Police dispersed a man from a Wood Street home at 7:23 a.m. following an alleged verbal argument with a significant other.

A phone scam was reported on Buttonwood Street at 4:33 p.m.

Friday, Aug. 18
Police issued an order to vacate for people who were allegedly living in the woods off Elmwood Drive at 1:22 p.m.

Police responded to the area of State and Second Streets at 9:04 p.m. for a report of five juveniles throwing objects at cars. Two of the juveniles were spoken to and returned to the custody of their guardians.

Saturday, Aug. 19
Police spoke to two drivers who got involved in a road rage incident with one another near Metacom and Bay View Avenues at 12:48 p.m. They were advised to stop following one another.

Sunday, Aug. 20
Police dispersed a woman who was reported as a suspicious person near Thames and State Streets at 3:01 a.m.

A dog bite was reported on Metacom Avenue at 9:44 a.m.

A Franklin Street resident reported at 10:48 a.m. that their cat had been taken by a roommate the prior day.

Brick Pizza Co. reported at 1:39 p.m. they had been stolen from during a previous incident. Police issued a no trespass order to the individual and the property was to be returned.

A Viking Drive resident reported the larceny of a dinghy at 7:32 p.m. It was reportedly found on a mooring and DEM was to be contacted about it.

Two juveniles were reported near Thames and State Streets at 8:06 p.m. using vulgar language, and allegedly broke a thermos on the sidewalk. They were gone when police showed up.

A Washington Street resident reported that there were juveniles looking into parked vehicles at 9:56 p.m. Police indicated they found three subjects in the area but no further action was reported.

A person riding a dirt bike near High and Bradford Streets at 10:09 p.m. was reported but had gone by the time police arrived to the scene. The same noise in the same area was reported at 11:01 p.m. but police again found no one.
