A woman generated a noise complaint after playing with her dog apparently too loudly and a man said an elderly neighbor damaged his car with his walker. All that and more in this week's police logs.

Bristol PD: Police make five arrests, investigate car vandalism incidents

Monday, March 18
Police followed up with a caller at 7:36 p.m. who called police to report that a man ran up behind her while she was walking her dog in the area of Rosita and DeWolf Avenues, but ran away when he saw the dog.

Jeffrey C., Leite, 37, of 29 Hopeworth Ave., Bristol, was arrested following an incident on Hopeworth Avenue at 10:26 p.m. He was charged with domestic violence (vandalism, first offense).

Tuesday, March 19
Police checked out a report of damage to a kitchen door on Wood Street at 11:03 a.m.

Police responded to Mt. Hope Avenue at 3:00 p.m. for a report that a woman was outside of a residence making threats.

Police assisted with a dispute on State Street involving a landlord/tenant dispute at 3:28 p.m. A woman was dispersed from the scene.

A report of fraud was logged from Town Hall at 4:08 p.m.

Wednesday, March 20
Police dispersed two men from the Mt. Hope Boat Ramp on Annawamscutt Drive at 12:42 a.m.

An injured bird was reported on Poppasquash Road at 8:50 a.m.

A dog bite was reported on Jewett Street at 10:06 a.m.

Police responded to Coelho Park on Jenny Lane at 10:14 a.m. for the report of a hypodermic needle floating in the pond. It was removed and disposed of.

A truck hit a power line near Monroe and Bay View Avenues at 12:25 p.m.

Police received a report at 12:58 p.m. that two men were fighting, possibly with unknown weapons involved.

Police restored the peace to a Sunrise Drive residence after a verbal argument broke out at 2:07 p.m.

Thursday, March 21
Authorities retrieved a deceased bunny that was found on San Antonio Avenue at 8:00 a.m. It was transported to the Warren Animal Hospital.

Threats were reported from Colt Andrews School on Hope Street at 2:05 p.m.

Police received a tip that there were multiple unregistered vehicles on a property on Tower Street at 2:46 p.m.

A check was reportedly stolen from a Gibson Road address at 7:37 p.m.
Alexander, C. Dill, 32, of 64 Charles St., Bristol, was arrested on Charles Street following a disturbance. He was charged with domestic violence (simple assault and/or battery, first offense), and domestic assault by strangulation.

Friday, March 22
Bank fraud was reported on Bradford Street at 11:13 a.m.

Paul A. Zazzaro, 53, of 26 Rogers Ln, Middletown, was arrested on a warrant out of Warren at 1:22 p.m. He faces charges of larceny of less than $1,500, and fraudulent use of a credit card (under 100 instances in a six month period). He was transported into the custody of Warren PD.

Police investigated a report at 1:53 p.m. that a shopping cart had been used to damage a vehicle at Stop & Shop on Metacom Avenue.

John T. Billings-Clark, 31, of 128 High St., Apt. #2, turned himself in on a warrant at 3:22 p.m. He faces charges of possession of a stolen vehicle (first offense), larceny of between $1,500 and $5,000, and vandalism. He was arraigned and later released.

Alexander C. Dill, 32, of 64 Charles St., Bristol, was arrested at 8:41 p.m. on Charles Street. He was charged with domestic violence (criminal violation of a no contact order, first offense), and was later transported to the ACI.

A woman who was playing with her dog on Wilson Street was the subject of a noise complaint at 9:04 p.m. She was advised of the complaint by police.

Saturday, March 23
Police dispersed a small group of people near Mt. Hope Avenue and Siegel Street at 12:17 a.m. after a report of a possible fight came in.

Police looked for a man who reportedly took some items from the CVS Pharmacy on Metacom Avenue at 6:19 p.m. and then left. The manager asked the individual be served a no trespass order if he was identified, but didn’t wish to press charges.

Sunday, March 24
Police dispersed a vehicle from Independence Park at 2:20 a.m., and dispersed another at 2:23 a.m. from in front of The Beehive Cafe on Franklin Street.

A caller on Ferry Road reported at 4:16 p.m. that an elderly neighbor had damaged his parked car with his walker on Friday.
