Book events planned for this month in Barrington

Barrington resident Ken Block will discuss his book ‘Disproven’

Posted

Later this month, Barrington resident and data specialist Ken Block will discuss his book, “Disproven,” which details his experience searching for voter fraud after the 2020 election.

Barrington Books will hold two events with Block this month.

At 4 p.m. on March 23, there will be a discussion and question and answer period at the store in the shopping center; the event will feature Block and be moderated by Bill Bartholomew.

At 5 p.m. on March 26, there will be a discussion and question and answer period at The Guild in Pawtucket; the event will be moderated by former Providence Mayor Joe Paolino.

“If you value the integrity of our elections—or want a behind-the-scenes look at an attempt at overturning one—‘Disproven’ by Ken Block takes you out of the voting booth and into the chaos that was the attempt to challenge the results of the 2020 U.S. presidential election,” stated a press release from Barrington Books. “In November 2020, data specialist Ken Block received a phone call from the Trump Campaign. They wanted to hire him to find evidence of election fraud. What followed were late night and early morning requests to assess fraud claims at a blistering pace and ultimately find definitive evidence about the role voter fraud played in the outcome of the 2020 presidential election.

“Multiple subpoenas later, Block reveals the truth about being one of the few professionals hired to prove the Trump Campaign’s allegation that voter fraud cost Donald Trump the 2020 presidential election. He explains what the voter data tells us and exposes the sobering truth that our federal elections are operating on hundreds, if not thousands, of disparate voting systems prone to error—a threat to national election integrity.”

‘We Should Not Be Friends’

Will Schwalbe, a New York Times best-selling author will offer a moderated discussion and question and answer period for his newest book, “We Should Not Be Friends” at the Salem Family Auditorium in the Barrington Public Library on Thursday, March 21 at 6:30pm.

This is a ticketed event, sponsored by Barrington Books. General admission for the presentation only is free.

“‘We Should Not Be Friends’ tracks an extraordinary friendship over decades of challenge and change,” stated a press release from Barrington Books. “Schwalbe’s marvelous new work is, at its heart, a joyful testament to the miracle of human connection—and how if we can just get past our preconceptions, we may find some of our greatest friends.

“From New Haven to New York City, from Hong Kong and Panama to a remarkable school on an island in the Bahamas—through marriages and a divorce, triumphs and devastating losses—‘We Should Not Be Friends’ tracks an extraordinary friendship over decades of challenge and change.”
