The Bristol County Water Authority (BCWA) will resume construction on multiple projects near and along the Metacom Avenue corridor this month, some of which will extend through the summer. They include the following:

Metacom Avenue, Robin Drive to Narrows Road
• A permanent trench pavement has already been installed on the water main trench.
• The cross trenches (to side streets and houses) and the Gooding Avenue intersection commenced repaving this week (April 4).

Metacom Avenue, Michael Drive to Fatima Drive
• Test and accept new water main starting mid-April
• Install connections to side streets and houses mid-April through May 2022
• Permanent trench pavement end of May 2022

The project also includes an underground vault for a pressure regulating valve. This will be installed on Michael Drive during the week of April 18. Residents in this area will receive a flier prior to the start of the work.

A new pump station is also under construction at the corner of Hope Street and Tupelo Street. Work will continue through summer 2022.
