Barrington youth basketball team wins title

Eighth grade team rolls through the playoffs

Barrington Youth Basketball Association eighth grade boys basketball team recently enjoyed an impressive playoff run. 

The eighth grade boys won five games over the span of nine days, and two snowstorms, to capture the division 3 Metrowest Playoff Tournament Championship. 

They endured multiple cancellations and rescheduled games to advance to the finals, and eventually knocked off Winchester, Mass on Sunday, March 11. 

They beat Bridgewater, Stoughton, Taunton and West Roxbury in the semi-finals to eventually reach the finals to face Winchester, and they earned a hard fought victory in the championship game by a score of 49-43.
