Barrington Tree Lighting and family event is Saturday evening

Barrington's annual Tree Lighting holiday celebration has cookie decorating from 2 to 3:30 p.m., fun activities for the kids from 2 to 4 p.m., an opportunity to write a letter to Santa (who will arrive at 3:45 p.m.) and entertainment by school groups and Arts Alive. The event concludes at 5 p.m. with the tree lighting and an encore performance by the BHS Choral Ensemble.

WHAT: Town of Barrington tree lighting

WHEN: Saturday, Dec. 2 from 2 to 5 p.m., with the lighting at 5

WHERE: Outside Barrington Town Hall, County Road
