A Barrington man is claiming he was assaulted in Warren, but details of the incident are limited.

Barrington Police received a 911 call from the man, a 41-year-old Barrington resident, at about 12:25 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 21.

The man believed he had been assaulted the previous night in Warren. The resident told police he had visited a friend in Warren, smoked marijuana and drank alcohol and then woke up the next day on the bike path in Warren.

He walked the bike path to Police Cove Park where he called 911. The man also complained of head pain. EMTs transported the man to a hospital. Police are still investigating.
