Andrew Madden selected for Silver Dozen

Posted

Barrington High School’s Andrew Madden has been named to the Silver Dozen, a special award offered by the Emo DiNitto/RI Football Chapter of the National Football Foundation and College Hall of Fame.

Andrew, a senior wide receiver for the Eagles this past fall, was one of the 24 high school football players chosen for both the Golden Dozen and Silver Dozen.

The student-athletes must maintain an average grade of B-plus or better, earn an All-Division or All-State honor, and be an exemplary citizen.

Three of the players chosen will receive $1,000 grants to the colleges of their choice. A special banquet for the Golden Dozen and Silver Dozen will be held at the Crowne Plaza hotel on May 2.
