The Barrington High School girls indoor track team finished third at the state championship meet in Providence last weekend.
Barrington scored 56 team points, finishing behind first place LaSalle (74 points) and second place Westerly (60 points).
Barrington picked up some points in the 600 meter race when Tess Gagliano finished third and Kate Zitzmann finished fourth. Caroline Livingston grabbed a second place finish in the 1,000-meter race, and both Zitzmann and Livingston ran well in the 1,500 — Zitzmann finished third and Livingston was fifth.
Barrington's 4x400-meter relay team of Gagliano, Audrey Gravelle, Zitzmann and Julia Howarth ran to a second place finish. In the 4x800-meter relay, the Eagles' team of Gagliano, Riley Kloc, Lily Sefranek and Anna Downes raced to a third place finish.
Adeline Quas cleared five feet and finished tied for second in the high jump. And Barrington celebrated another second place finish with Annika Kelly in the weight throw. Sydney Polando was sixth in the weight throw.
