The Grant family from Barrington will be featured in an upcoming episode of Family Feud.
The Grants — Peggy, a kindergarten teacher; niece Jessica, a college student; sister Nancy, a sales associate; niece Chelsea, a student; and niece Audrey, a stay-at-home mom — will square off against the Fisher family from Chicago. The episode will air on Friday, May 24 at noon on MyRITV (Channel 64).
To secure their spot on the show, the Grant family called the Family Feud hotline to begin the process. Now they’re hoping for a big win and pay-off.
“We wanted to audition for ‘Family Feud’ because we love the show and knew it would be a great experience we could share together as a family,” said Audrey, in a recent press release. “We get together every Sunday to cook family dinner. If we win we hope to use the money to open our own family style restaurant.”
At stake is $100,000 in prize money and a new car.
Steve Harvey, one of the original Kings of Comedy, hosts the show, which is now in its 14th season, airing throughout the country in national syndication. Families travel from all over the U.S. to compete for cash prizes. When the show is over, fans can connect for breaking news on Twitter (@FamilyFeud), find outtakes and behind the scenes footage on YouTube (www.youtube.com/familyfeud) and even face off against friends and family on Facebook.
Contestant hopefuls can also call the show’s hotline at 323-762-8467 for an interview.
