This conversation was ridiculous. Mr. Rose thinks he KNOWS it is under budgeted and the proposal isn't doing enough to replace outdated pipes, well, Mr. Rose, why don't YOU do the work on this project. Do you realize our water system is failing us? Do you realize the fine that is going to be involved for everyday we lag? I think the only thing Mr. Rose realizes is that some in his family were getting FREE water and sewer at the cost of the rest of us!!!

And Ms. Rossi wants a written guarantee about the cost not going over budget? Did the people of this city get a written guarantee from you that you would not interfere in city business?

And Mr. Rybka talks about nepotism. Talk a look around city hall and you'll find some newly hired that are GOOD friends of former Mayor Rogers.

I agree with David P., most of these people don't belong in office for a day let alone 4 years.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
