It is inspiring and uplifting to see that this ridiculous raise is being questioned. Good job Ray and Frank! This woman was hired at $125,000 to do TWO jobs, director AND Chief engineer. No sooner had the ink dried on the contract and she was saying that it was too much work for her and BCWA would have to hire another engineer! I would hope that the board of directors will stand firm on this. Most people were hoping/thinking that there would actually be a request for salary CUT when she said the job was too much for her as described in the job description.

Jim McGaw

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once.
