Karissa brings to light another aspect of this situation. As a Police Officer in a busy city, we receive numerous calls to service on the highway for calls in which the State Police are unable to respond, or are coming from a distance. Is it right that when they are called upon to respond to calls on highways in which they are highly trained and needed, that they are responding from a city that is WELL COVERED by its own competent Police force? When a tax paying citizen is involved in a serious situation on the highways of this state, is it right that you must have a longer wait because the city of East Providence is in a juvenile pathetic ego war? Once again, FOR SHAME!
