KMOM - YOU HAVE A POINT, WHERE IS THE WRITE STORY? SOMETHING I HAVE LEARNED DO NOT BELIVE EVERYTHING YOU READ IN THE EASTBAY PAPER, THEY PUBISH STORIES TO SELL THEIR PAPER AND THEY DO NOT RESPOND TO ARTICLES AFTER THEY ARE PUBLISHED. I BELIEVE THE STORY HERE WAS SHAWS COULD NOT LET THEM SET UP SHOP INSIDE THE FOIER FOR LIABILITY REASONS, AND OFFERED THEM TO SET UP OUTSIDE. BUT BECAUSE OF THE POOR WEATHER THAT WAS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT FOR THE OLDER VETS. MY QUESTION WAS, DID THE STORE MANAGER OR THEIR CORRP OFFICE ADVISE THEM OF THIS PRIOR TO THE DATE, OR WAS THIS PUT ON THEM LAST MINUTE. IF SHAW DID NOT SHARE THIS TO THE VETS THEN SHAME ON THEM. I WOULD HOPE THAT SHAWS MAKES THIS RIGHT NEXT YEAR AND HAS A TENT SET UP OUTSIDE TO ACOMMIDATE THE VETS IN CASE OF BAD WEATHER. I WOULD ALSO HOPE THAT SHAWS MAKES THIS ISSUE KNOWN FOR FUTURE GROUPS LOOKING TO RECEIVE DONATIONS FOR WORTHY CAUSES.
