My first reaction was to NEVER shop at Shaw's again.

Then I called the Barrington Shaws store and spoke with Tracey, who identified herself as the Customer Service Manager.

Tracey stated that "Nobody ever said that" and "We welcome all local...everyone..."

I asked her to contact the East Bay Newspapers to refute the letter and she stated that it was not her job. "Things like this are handled by corporate, but I will pass the message along"

I then called Josh at Barrington Times and left a message.

Let's get the full story before we back it (which I will do if it is true)!

Hoping it was a miscommunication.
