No disrespect to my VFW Comrades However Buddy Poppy donations are only to be used to fund your local Veterans relief programs. not to be used for anything but veterans and their families in need in your area. Any other use of the fund is not allowed. The Buddy poppy is a time honored tradition in the US. Many corporations are afraid of lawsuits and this is a shame. The VFW has buddy poppy days around or during memorial day and Veterans day holidays. But the donations are only for veterans relief, not scholarships. Edward J. McDonald Athens Pa.
