The Town of Portsmouth was going to put out a third Request for Proposal to repair the wind turbine on May 15,2013. The RFP is no where to be found .

My thoughts are that no wind turbine contractor will touch the project because of the setbacks to the town water tank, power lines, highway and the chance of a seven ton blade being thrown on the high school field.

The other issue is the 3 million dollar zero percent renewable energy bond on the turbine. How does a private contractor take over a municipal zero percent bond paid with taxpayer funds ?

The turbine sits with 40,000 cars going by every day and every anti-wind group in the country is looking at the total catastrophic failure.

Meanwhile the turbine that was at one time featured on National Geographics Greatest Fixes is now a hunk of corroded steel
