PORTSMOUTH — We got a sneak preview of “Footloose: The Musical," as members of the cast went through a few song-and-dance routines during a dress rehearsal Tuesday night at Portsmouth High School.
The story is about what happens when a boy named Ren moves from Chicago to a small farming town and runs into some rigorous local edicts, including a ban on dancing instituted by the local preacher.
The PHS Drama Club is hosting the show in the school auditorium for two performances Friday and Saturday, April 6 and 7, at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets are at the door are $10 general admission, $5 for students and seniors.
