PORTSMOUTH — Police officers from Portsmouth and Middletown executed a search warrant at an Old Mill Lane home Saturday afternoon and ending up arresting two men as part of a joint narcotics investigation, police said.

Shortly before 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 30, members of the Portsmouth Police Detective and Patrol divisions, as well as the Middletown Police Detective Division, responded to 350 Old Mill Lane and located multiple marijuana plants, cannabis cultivation materials, loaded firearms, Psilocybin mushrooms, scales, plastic bags, and U.S. currency within the home, according to police.

Richard Reposa, a 66-year-old resident of the home, became agitated while the scene and pushed one of the detectives with his chest, police said. He was taken into custody and charged with the following:

• Possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation

• Manufacturing/possession/delivery of a Schedule I/II controlled substance

• Conspiracy - drug - felony less than five years

• Possession of a Schedule I, II, III, IV, V controlled substance

• Simple assault or battery.

Police also arrested 18-year-old Lorenzo Reposa, who resides in the same home but was at the Middletown Police Department at the time of the search, according to police. Portsmouth Police took custody of him at about 4:45 p.m. and charged him with the following:

• Possession of a firearm while committing a controlled substance violation

• Manufacturing/possession/delivery of a Schedule I/II controlled substance

• Conspiracy - drug - felony less than five years

Both men were transported to the men’s intake facility at the Adult Correctional Institutions in Cranston on Sunday pending their arraignments the following day, police said.

Here are some other recent arrests made by Portsmouth Police:

Joseph Robert Miele Vidal, 21, of 346 Spring St., Newport, was charged with driving after his license had been denied, revoked or suspended, first offense. The arrest came after a motor vehicle stop on West Main Road at Scotty Drive around 1:15 a.m.

Charlotte Ann Costa, of no permanent address in Newport, was charged with simple assault or battery, and disorderly conduct (obstructing a street, hall or aisle). Officers responded to Cumberland Farms on East Main Road at about 9:40 p.m. to investigate a report of a person walking in the roadway. According to police, Costa appeared to be heavily impaired, refused to identify herself, and pushed an officer.

Kiefer Joshua Woods, 32, of 737 Metacom Ave. (rear), Bristol, was charged with driving under the influence (DUI), first offense, after police responded to 90 Mussel Bed Shoal Road around 1:40 a.m. for a report of a disabled vehicle. Upon arrival, officers found a silver vehicle off the right side of the road in a ditch. Woods, the driver, said he needed his vehicle removed so he could go about his night, police said. He failed a field sobriety test at the scene, however, and was cited for refusing to submit to a chemical test, police said. Woods was held at the police station until being escorted to 2nd District Court later that morning, said police, who described Woods as a probation violator.

Shortly before 2 a.m., officers responded to 30 Quail Road to locate a man whose wife said had been drinking and hadn’t yet returned home, according to police. He then pulled into his driveway and nearly struck one of the officers who was on foot, according to police. Loud acted disorderly after being escorted from his vehicle and failed to complete a field sobriety test, police said. After being taken to the police station, he continued to be uncooperative and inside a cell block and kicked an officer who was trying to remove Loud’s shoes, police said. Besides being charged with DUI (first offense), reckless driving, and simple assault or battery, Loud was also cited for refusing a chemical test. At about 2:35 a.m., officers found a vehicle parked in two spaces in front of the police station. Delia Serrano Loud, 66, also of 30 Quail Road, was in the driver’s seat of the running vehicle, police said. She was charged with. DUI, first offense, and was also cited for refusing a chemical test, police said.
