PORTSMOUTH — Portsmouth High senior Jack Skrzypiec poured in a game-high 25 points as the Patriots came from behind to beat Tolman Friday night at home, 58-53.
The win improved the Patriots’ record to 5-2 in Division II and 7-4 overall.
The Tigers led at halftime, 24-20, but were outscored by Portsmouth 38-29 in the second half.
Skrzypiec went 9 for 13 at the free-throw line and sank two 3-pointers.
Also contributing to the Patriots offense were Ben Gesmondi, with 15 points (including four 3-pointers). Ben Hurd added 14 points.
