The East Providence City Council hosted a new event, a "Harvest Festival," featuring the city-based musical act "Kate and the Mongrels," on Sunday, Nov. 12, at Pierce Memorial Field. T

he city-based band is fronted by Kate Terrien and includes Ward 4 City Councilor Rick Lawson on bass, Buzzy Ketz on guitar and Brian Underwood on drums.

The event was free and open to the public and included games, arts and crafts and more.
