Bristol police officers made three arrests from June 1 to 7, including one for drunk driving.

Monday, June 1

After a fight in the Gooding Plaza parking lot at 4:55 p.m., a patrolman caught up with a man who had left in a pickup truck and headed east on Gooding Avenue. Timothy J. Velleca, 45, of 20 Dixon Ave., Bristol, was charged with assault on a person over the age of 60 causing bodily injury. He was held at the station, arraigned by a justice of the peace and then released.

A passing motorist reported an altercation between a man and a woman on High Street at 6:01 p.m. An officer responded and reported it was verbal only.

Someone complained about two juveniles riding dirt bikes in the roadway on Peckham Place at 8 p.m.

A patrolman responded to a Hope Street address to investigate a domestic argument between a man and a woman at 8:26 p.m. It turned out to be verbal only.

Someone reported a man and a woman arguing inside a residence on Mason Avenue at 9:26 p.m. An officer responded and reported that the couple were attempting to use the voice-activated remote for their television.

After being stopped on Franklin Street at 10:04 p.m., Robert J. Pedretti, 36, of 5 Siegel St., Apt. 1, Bristol, was charged with DUI-third offense.

An officer dispersed people from Narrows Point at 11:54 p.m.

Tuesday, June 2

A resident complained about loud noise, specifically the backup beeping of trucks, coming from construction equipment on Bay View Avenue at 6:15 a.m. An officer spoke to the operator. The same person called back a few minutes later to say that after the officer left, the operator turned on the backup alarm and went inside a building. The officer returned to the scene and spoke to the person once again.

Someone reported tools stolen from a vehicle on Mt. Pleasant Avenue at 8:05 a.m.

A Poppasquash Road resident reported credit card fraud.

A Berry Lane resident reported vandalism to their vehicle tires while it was parked in the driveway overnight.

Wednesday, June 3

An officer dispersed people from Thames Street at 12:47 a.m.

A Third Street resident called at 4:16 a.m. to report someone banging on her back door.

An officer spoke to two people who were on the back deck of a Burke Road residence after a neighbor complained of loud music at 3:37 p.m.

A Constitution Street resident reported fraudulent use of a credit card.

A Platt Street reported attempted larceny of a boat trailer.

A State Street resident complained of loud motorcycles at 9:51 p.m.

Thursday, June 4

An officer spoke with two people who were at the boat ramp at Independence Park at 12:23 a.m.

A Union Street resident reported a rock thrown through the door at 2:54 p.m.

A Sea Breeze Lane resident reported unemployment fraud.

The animal control officer was called to assist a duckling in a pool on Duffield Road at 4 p.m.

Officers investigated a report of loud banging and yelling in a Bradford Street residence at 7:57 p.m. It turned out to be an argument between sisters.

Officers were called to Wayland Avenue at 9:04 p.m. for a report of a man and woman who had been arguing outside and then went inside the house.

Officers were called to CVS Pharmacy on Metacom Avenue after a reportedly irate customer threatened to throw items at the cashier at 9:16 p.m.

An officer dispersed a man who was fishing from a Hope Street dock at 10:06 p.m.

Officers investigated a report of someone flying a drone in the area of Sherry Avenue at 10:22 p.m.

Someone filed a report of a loud party on Burke Road at 10:35 p.m. An officer reported that they group had dispersed before police arrived.

Friday, June 5

The complainant from an earlier incident reported that a disruptive customer had returned to CVS at 8:35 a.m. William A. Koffler, 59, of 9 Charles St., Bristol, was given a no-trespass order and charged with vandalism.

At 4:22 p.m., an officer dispersed a man with a backpack who had been sitting on the old library stairs for a few hours.

Chance J. Costa, 23, of Tiverton, was arrested on a warrant for unauthorized dissemination of indecent material.

Officers responded to Roosevelt Avenue after receiving a complaint about loud music at 7:49 p.m. A patrolman reported hearing no loud music, and he spoke to a group of people in the backyard.

A High Street female called police at 9:14 p.m. to report that her mother was throwing things around the house.

Police received two calls about a loud party at a Wood Street residence at 11:02 p.m. Officers responded and found a small gathering of people; they were advised to move things inside for the night.

Saturday, June 6

An officer advised someone in a vehicle parked near Independence Park to disperse from the area at 3:27 a.m.

An officer was called to investigate a brown paper bag left on a tree stump at the intersection of Hope Street and Sheffield Avenue at 8:17 a.m.

A resident on Old Orchard Farm Drive reported a past larceny.

Officers were called to investigate a large gathering with loud music on River Street at 7:18 p.m. They were unable to locate any large or loud groups.

At 7:42 p.m., a caller complained about loud music on Wendy Drive since 4 p.m. An officer logged the report as unfounded.

Several people were dispersed from the area after a Poppasquash Road resident reported they had parked on his private beach at 9:39 p.m.

Officers could not find a man who was reportedly yelling in the area of Constitution Street and Pearse Avenue at 9:49 p.m. They received a second call about the same man a short time later.

At 11:35 p.m., officers advised those involved with a party at the intersection of Monroe and Bay View avenues.

Sunday, June 7

At 12:03 a.m., a caller reported loud music coming from a neighboring residence on Wood Street. She said the bass was making her house shake.

Police received two calls from neighbors complaining that residents on Goulart Avenue were being loud in the backyard at 12:32 a.m.

A caller reported a loud gathering and loud music on Judy Drive at 7:30 p.m.

A caller from Verdi Lane reported fireworks and a lot of yelling in the area at 9:17 p.m.

Police received another complaint from Judy Drive at 9:25 p.m.

Officers spoke to three individual walking on 1st School Street after receiving complaints about loud voices and noise at 1:02 a.m. They were advised to keep their voices down.

At 4:33 a.m., a caller reported three men in a small vehicle had gotten stuck on a beach along Poppasquash Road, then gotten themselves pulled free by a towing company. An officer caught up with them. They said they had gotten stuck while trying to turn around, and one of the men said he would return later to rake out the tire tracks.
