Caroline Ann Torrey Scott, 64, passed away on April 16, 2020, at home in Bristol surrounded by her loving family.

She was the daughter of Marcia Bickford Torrey and the late Arthur Richard Torrey.

Carol lived in Bristol as a young child until her parents moved to Barrington, where she lived for many years, raising her family. She moved back to Bristol in 2012.

She earned her degree in Art Education, minoring in Art History, from Rhode Island College.

Carol’s amazing creativity was evident throughout her life. From the displays at her store, the I Boutique that she owned with her dear friend, Gina, to the beautiful windows at Tyler Boe that she managed until recently. Those who knew her envied her flair for creating beauty wherever she was. She had a beautiful presence, both physically and spiritually.

Carol’s passions were her boys and her granddaughter, Kaja, who she loved immensely, as well as a multitude of family and friends.

She is survived by her two sons, Ryan Thomas Scott (Nika) of West Yarmouth, Mass., and Trevor Humphrey Scott of Providence, and her precious granddaughter, Kaja Claudia Scott. She also leaves behind her sister, Jennifer Torrey Catanzaro (David), her nieces, Eliza Pond Quick, Sara Catanzaro Schles, Jaime Catanzaro Foster, Mia Goyette, and nephews, Camden Pond, Shane Scott, and Taylor Scott.

A celebration of Carol’s life will be held at a time and place to be determined.
