Bristol Police: Neighbor woes, a loose cow, and a new drive-thru on Metacom

Monday, July 20

At 12:10 a.m. a Wood Street caller complained of an unwanted male, resulting in the removal of said male.

At 3:17 p.m. a Metacom Avenue business reported telephone harassment from a customer.

At 3:28 p.m. a Wood Street caller complained that their upstairs neighbor was yelling and stomping his feet.

At 3:57 p.m. a St. Elizabeth Street caller complained that their neighbor was dumping yard waste onto their property.

At 8:23 p.m. a Hope Street caller reported a male party laying down in a cemetery.

Tuesday, July 21

At 5:44 p.m. it was reported that a vehicle drove into Classic Pizza at 349 Metacom Avenue. Nobody was injured and the building, though damaged, was deemed structurally sound and the business can remain open while repairs are made.

At 6:46 p.m. a Thames Street caller complained that fencing from the Robin Rug redevelopment project fell onto his vehicle.

Wednesday, July 22

At 8:06 a.m. an Annawamscutt Drive caller reported a sealed box washed up on the shore.

At 4:01 p.m. Daniel B. Bouchard, 45, of 45 Pickering St., apt. 3, Fall River, Mass. was arrested in a Warrant at 1 Joyce St. in Warren.

At 5:51 p.m. a Thames Street caller complained of juveniles swimming by the docks.

At 10:19 p.m. a Metacom Avenue caller reported a loose cow.

Thursday, July 23

At 10:23 p.m. Valley Drive caller complained that girls were bullying her over the phone.

Friday, July 24

At 8:20 p.m. a Franklin Street caller reported ongoing harassment.

Saturday, July 25

At 8:56 p.m. a Mallory Court caller reported a vehicle with a strange license plate parked in the area.

Sunday, July 26

At 1:25 p.m. a Hope Street business complained that a female was refusing to leave the store.

At 6:02 p.m. a Ferry Road caller reported multiple people fishing under the bridge.

At 7:34 p.m. a Fatima Drive caller complained of young females, approximately 12 years old, operating a golf cart in the road and nearly causing an accident.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once.
