Letter: Writer and paper showed stupidity printing anti-mask letter

The overwhelming stupidity of the letter by Nathanael Cooper of Narragansett (“Do you like living in the Land of the Masked?” Feb. 4) is surpassed only by the Bristol Phoenix printixng it.

While Mr. Cooper can flout whatever imbecilic notions he wishes — to disseminate such false information, the paper may in fact be liable

in the death of one or more of the town’s citizens so foolish to accept the letter’s advice.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far.
