The Bristol Warren 11U Little League Team celebrated a 14-1 victory over Portsmouth Little League on Saturday, and now head to the Rhode Island State Tournament beginning this Saturday in Cranston.

Bristol Warren 11U All-Stars win district title over Portsmouth

The Bristol Warren 11U Little League Team celebrated a 14-1 victory over Portsmouth Little League on Saturday, and now head to the Rhode Island State Tournament beginning this Saturday in Cranston.

Cam Salisbury started the offense with a single line drive to center fielder in the 1st inning. Bristol/Warren ran the bases, gaining a four-run advantage in the 1st inning. Bristol/Warren then connected with the ball 7 times in the 3rd inning, driving in 10 runs.

Throughout the game, the Bristol Warren All-Stars had a strong eye at the plate, accumulating 10 walks. Wyatt Smith singled, scoring two runs, Caden McLaughlin doubled, scoring two runs, Jayden Larissa drew a walk, scoring one run, John Dipetro lined out, scoring one run, Caleb Walsh singled, scoring two runs, an error scored one run, and Jude Francis doubled, scoring one run.

Caleb Walsh opened the game pitching for Bristol/Warren. He surrendered one hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out two and walking none.

Portsmouth struggled to counter Bristol/Warren’s offense until the 4th inning. Ben Holtman went 1-for-1 at the plate to lead Portsmouth in hits. Gavin Varela lead off the bump for Portsmouth. He allowed one hit and four runs over one inning, striking out none and walking five.
