Marion I. Primiano, 89, of Barrington

Marion I. (Batty) Primiano, 89, of Barrington, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 25, 2018. She was the wife of the late John A. Primiano. Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Russell F. and Jessie (McKee) Batty. Marion worked as an aid for the Barrington School Department for many years before retiring. She was a member of the Barrington Jr. Women's Club, Barrington Women's Club and several bridge clubs.

She leaves, one son, John Primiano Jr., of Jamestown, and two daughters, Nancy White of Riverside, and Becky Levisk of Bristol. She also leaves seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. 

Donations in Marion's honor can be made to Beacon Hospice or Barrington Congregational Church.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986. He's worked two different stints at East Bay Newspapers, for a total of 18 years with the company so far. When not running all over town bringing you the news from Portsmouth, Jim listens to lots and lots and lots of music, watches obscure silent films from the '20s and usually has three books going at once. He also loves to cook crazy New Orleans dishes for his wife of 25 years, Michelle, and their two sons, Jake and Max.
