Letter: Sowams field is not a dog/donkey park

To the editor:

I'm asking for help from those residents who live near the field on Sowams Road across from Orchard Avenue, known as Perna Park.

A dog, or perhaps a small horse or donkey, has been using that field as his/her own dog park for the past several years. It's pretty obvious given the piles of waste circled by DPW in orange spray paint this animal is well fed and free to roam.

If you live near the park, and see this animal relieving itself, please take note, perhaps follow it home and ask the owner to clean up after it.

Or, report the owner to the Barrington Police Department. It is against town ordinances to leave pet waste on town property.
