It was a busy week for the BHS boys volleyball team. 

Barrington traveled to Central on Tuesday, April 30 and swept the Knights, 3-0. The Eagles won 25-22, 25-9, 25-20. Cam Kelley led the Eagles with 10 kills, seven digs, and two aces. Donovan Park finished with five kills, three aces and four digs. 

On Thursday, Barrington had a “rematch” with Cranston West. The Eagles started slow and lost 0-3. Barrington fell 18-25, 22-25, and 23-25. 

“Cranston West is a well-designed team and is complete in every position,” said BHS Coach Christian Lambert. “We struggled to stay loose and enjoy the great competition. (It) was a great opportunity to see the players’ reaction in film study later in the week. The Falcons were consistent from the service line and we struggled.”

Barrington’s Sang Min Park finished the game with 31 assists and 14 digs, while Luke Van Ness finished the night with 17 digs and six assists. 

On Friday, Barrington traveled to North Kingstown and lost 1-3. The Eagles lost 18-25, 25-23, 18-25, 14-25. “The team was very excited to get a win in set two, especially after the rough night they had on Thursday,” Coach Lambert said. 

The leaders against NK were Kelley with 11 kills, seven digs and two blocks, and Max Oberacker went 15 for 15 from the service line and kept the ball in play for Barrington. Sang Min Park contributed with 29 assists. 

On Wednesday, May 8, the Eagles host Lincoln at 6:30, and on Friday, Barrington hosts Pilgrim at 6:30.

Barrington stands at 8-2 in league play and is in second place in Division II.
