Westport police arrest woman on warrant following car stop

Monday, Jan. 9

An accident was reported on American Legion Highway (6:49 a.m.),

A resident from Boysenberry Lane reported suspicious activity just before 6 p.m.

Police pulled over 20 vehicles and issued 14 citations throughout the course of the day.

Tuesday, Jan. 10

A Horseneck Road resident lodged animal complaints just before 6 a.m. A similar call came in from Drift Road at 8:50 a.m.

A caller from Sodom Road reported suspicious activity at 10:32 a.m.

A caller reported a road hazard on Hunters Way at 2:58 p.m.

A caller reported a driving infraction on State Road just before 5 p.m.

A 911 caller complained of a suspicious person on Sodom Road at 5:22 p.m.

Police pulled over eight vehicles and issued six citations throughout the course of the day.

Wednesday, Jan. 11

Alexis Ismael Lozano, 26, of 220 Johnson St., APt. 8A, Fall River, was arrested on a warrant after being pulled over at State and Gifford roads at 10:32 a.m.

Police attempted but were unable to serve a warrant on Cottage Street at 10:41 a.m.

A caller to 911 reported a disturbance on Weeden Road at 2:18 p.m.

A caller from Robert Street filed an animal complaint at 3:17 p.m.

Police pulled over eight vehicles and issued six citations throughout the course of the day.

Thursday, Jan. 12

A caller to 911 reported an accident on State Road at 6:14 a.m.

A 911 caller reported shoplifting on State Road at 6:15 p.m.

A Drift Road resident lodged animal complaints at 8:48 p.m.

Police pulled over 25 vehicles and issued 21 citations throughout the course of the day.

Friday, Jan. 13

A caller reported a road hazard on Gifford Road at 7:01 a.m.

A 911 caller reported a fire on American Legion Highway at 8:29 a.m. It was transferred to the fire department.

A Main Road resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 9:55 a.m.

Police pulled over four vehicles and issued two citations throughout the course of the day.

Saturday, Jan. 14

A 911 caller reported a driving infraction on State Road just after 2:30 a.m.

Police assisted a disabled motorist on Route 88 at 11:25 a.m.

A Judge's Way resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 12:50 p.m.

A Hemlock Street resident reported a suspicious car at 12:51 a.m.

A Holly Hill Avenue resident lodged animal complaints just after 1 p.m.

Police pulled over 17 vehicles and issued 13 citations throughout the course of the day.

Sunday, Jan. 15

Police pulled over 10 vehicles and issued seven citations throughout the course of the day.
