Summer is over, but the Westport River Watershed Alliance is staying busy this fall, planning two Open Saturday Family Days at the River Center this coming month. They're scheduled for Saturday, Oct 23 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Alliance educators will give a tour of aquarium tanks at 9 a.m., and there will be a series of one-hour presentations starting at 10 a.m., including seining in the river, observing aquatic specimens under a microscope, and using the alliance's 'virtual reality sand table.'
