Westport police: Two OUIs over the weekend

Sunday, April 7

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on American Legion Highway just before 10:30 a.m.

Animal complaints came in from Cherry and Webb Lane at 11:06 a.m.

A caller from Old Bedford Road reported a suspicious person at 11:23 a.m. A similar call came in from Donna Street just after noon.

A 911 caller reported suspicious activity at Old County Road and Kaiser Drive at 6:19 p.m.

A 911 caller reported a vehicle repossession on Hix Bridge Road at 11:42 p.m.

Police pulled over 12 vehicles, and issued 12 citations, over the course of the day.

Monday, April 8

A report of a fire on Reed Road was transferred to the fire department at 8:20 a.m.

A Highland Avenue resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 2:45 p.m.

A 911 caller reported a brush fire on Main Road at 6:31 p.m. It was transferred to the fire department.

Police pulled over 14 vehicles over the course of the day, issuing 12 citations and towing one car.

Tuesday, April 9

Animal complaints came in from Briggs Road at 3:09 p.m.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on American Legion Highway at 7:15 p.m.

Police pulled over 16 vehicles and issued 14 citations over the course of the day.

Wednesday, April 10

Police pulled over three vehicles and issued one citation over the course of the day.

Thursday, April 11

Police served summonses on Harvest Hill Road (1:47 p.m.) and Oakland Avenue (1:49 p.m.).

A caller from State Road reported a suspicious person at 9:54 p.m.

Police were alerted to a vehicle repossession on Robert Street at 3:13 p.m.

Police pulled over 17 vehicles over the course of the day, issuing 13 citations and towing one vehicle.

Friday, April 12

A Lenox Avenue resident reported property damage at 2:46 p.m. A similar call came in from Old Bedford Road at 5:36 p.m.

Police pulled over 16 vehicles over the course of the day, issuing 15 citations.

Saturday, April 13

Jeffrey N. Rousseau, 47, of 868 Old Fall River Road, Apt. 1, North Dartmouth, was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol and cited for speeding and a marked lanes violation after police pulled him over at Old Bedford and Davis roads at 1:37 a.m.

Tyrell Williams, 34, of 929 County St., Apt. 2, New Bedford, was charged with the unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and cited for a non-transparent window, after police pulled him over on State Road at 2:46 a.m.

A Utica Lane resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 10:06 a.m.

Police were called to keep the peace on Reed Road at 10:40 a.m.

A caller from Eddy Drive reported suspicious activity at 4:17 p.m.

Police pulled over five vehicles and issued four citations over the course of the day.

Sunday, April 14

Paul George Hubacheck, 39, of 837 Crystal Spring Way, St. Augustine, Fl., was charged with operating under the influence, driving with a suspended license, improper operation of a motor vehicle, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and possession of a Class A drug, after police pulled him over on State Road at 12:53 a.m.

Animal complaints came in from East Beach Road at 10:29 a.m.

A 911 caller reported a disturbance on State Road at 6:12 p.m.

Angelica Maria Baez, 20, of 44 Thompson St., Apt. 1N, Fall River, was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop on State Road at 10 p.m.

Police pulled over nine vehicles and issued four citations over the course of the day.

A lifelong Portsmouth resident, Jim graduated from Portsmouth High School in 1982 and earned a journalism degree from the University of Rhode Island in 1986.
