Westport police logs: Women faces charges following crash

Monday, March 31

Police attempted to serve a warrant on Meadow Road at 9:13 p.m., but were unable.

A caller reported a road hazard on Route 88 at 10:19 p.m. Police responded a few minutes later.

Police pulled four vehicles over over the course of the day. Three drivers were cited; police took no action in the fourth case.

Tuesday, April 1

A caller from Old Bedford Road reported an unwanted person just after 8 a.m. A similar call came in from the same street at 11:22 a.m.

Police served a warrant on Blossom Road at 1:47 p.m. No word on who was charged, or what the charges were.

A caller from Stella Lane reported property damage at 2:42 p.m.

A caller from Old County Road reported, larceny, forgery or fraud just after 3 p.m.

A Hix Bridge Road resident lodged animal complaints at 4:25 p.m. A similar call came in from Allens Pond at 5:38 p.m.

Police processed eight firearms licensing requests over the course of the day.

A 911 caller reported a suspicious person on Forsythia Lane at 6:43 p.m.

Police pulled four drivers over over the course of the day. Two were warned, two were cited.

Wednesday, April 2

A 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Cornell Road at 2:38 p.m. Police checked it out and found all OK.

A report of a structure fire on Sodom Road at Orland Avenue was transferred to the fire department at 11:58 a.m.

Animal complaints came in from Route 195 at 7:23 p.m.

Police pulled three vehicles over over the course of the day. One driver was cited, one was warned, and police took no action on the third.

Thursday, April 3

Police were informed of a vehicle repossession on Russell Street at 6:05 a.m.

A caller from E Drive called about a suspicious person at 7 p.m., but police deemed the report unfounded.

Police were asked to keep the peace on East Briggs Road at 7:01 p.m.

A 911 caller reported a motor vehicle violation on American Legion Highway at 9:50 p.m., but police deemed it unfounded.

Police pulled eight vehicles over over the course of the day. Two were cited, five warned, and no action was taken on the eighth.

Friday, April 4

Police were informed of a vehicle repossession on Adamsville Road at 3:01 p.m.

A 911 call regarding a brush fire on Route 88 near Briggs Road was transferred to the fire department at 3:59 p.m.

A Sanford Road resident complained of larceny, forgery or fraud at 5:37 p.m.

Animal complaints came in from Fernmarsh Lane at 6:21 p.m.

Police pulled seven vehicles over over the course of the day.

Saturday, April 5

A caller reported a suspicious vehicle on Sanford Road at 9:47 a.m.

A Horseneck Road resident reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 4:19 p.m.

A 911 call regarding a fire on Adamsville Road was transferred to the fire department at 5:21 p.m.

Sharna Louise Jones, 61, of 4 Hiacomes Circle, Mashpee, was charged with operating under the influence of liquor, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, and cited for a marked lanes violation, after she was involved in an accident at State Road and Mt. Pleasant Street called in to police at 5:42 p.m.

Police pulled one vehicle over over the course of the day, and cited the driver.

Sunday, April 6

Police pulled two vehicles over over the course of the day. Both drivers were cited.
