Westport police logs: One arrest last week

Monday, Jan. 13

Scott P. Viens Jr., 37, of 129 Clay St., Apt. 1, Fall River, was charged with driving under the influence and operating on a suspended license, after police received a motor vehicle complaint from American Legion Highway at 1:20 p.m.

Police pulled six vehicles over over the course of the day, warning three drivers, citing two and arresting one.

Tuesday, Jan. 14

A Robert Street resident asked police to keep the peace at 12:02 p.m.

A Devol Avenue resident complained of larceny, forgery or fraud at 3:42 p.m.

Police pulled three vehicles over over the course of the day, issuing verbal warnings in each case.

Wednesday, Jan. 15

A State Road caller complained of larceny, forgery or fraud at 8:52 a.m.

Police were called to a disturbance on Old County Road at 12:43 a.m.

Police pulled four vehicles over over the course of the day, warning three drivers and citing one.

Thursday, Jan. 16

An American Legion Highway caller reported being threatened just before 6 p.m.

A Main Road resident complained of larceny, forgery or fraud at 6:17 p.m.

Police pulled five vehicles over over the course of the day, citing four drivers and warning one.

Friday, Jan. 17

Police assisted after a caller from Sanford Road reported a suspicious person at 9:01 a.m.

Andrew Furlan Tripp, 72, of 666 State Road, Apt. 3A, was pulled over on State Road at 11:55 a.m. and charged with operating with a suspended license and using an electronic device while operating a motor vehicle.

Police were asked to keep the peace on Old Bedford Road at 3:55 p.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a summons on Tickle Road at 4:26 p.m.

A 911 caller lodged animal complaints from Route 88 at 6:23 p.m.

A Charlotte White Road caller complained of noise at 7:36 p.m.

Police tried but were unable to serve a restraining order on Horseneck Road at 8:53 p.m.

Police pulled over 19 vehicles over the course of the day. Seven were warned, nine were cited, one car was towed, one person arrested, and police took no action in one case.

Saturday, Jan. 18

Police served a restraining order on Horseneck Road at 9:36 a.m

A 911 call regarding larceny, forgery or fraud called in from Gabriella Drive at 9:45 p.m. was referred to another law enforcement agency, police reported.

Police pulled six drivers over over the course of the day. Police warned three drivers, cited two others, and assisted one driver.

Sunday, Jan. 19

Animal complaints came in from Route 88 at 9:02 a.m., and from Main Road at 1:24 p.m.

A caller from Zulmiro Drive reported larceny, forgery or fraud at 1:14 p.m.

A noise complaint came in from Cummings Lane at 3:15 p.m.

Police pulled six vehicles over over the course of the day, warning four drivers and citing two.
